We work to support higher education opportunities around the world, and we have worked with refugees in Iraq and in Africa to help families live in safe places.
We've recently sent funds to a beautiful motivated young woman (a South Sudanese refugee) who is studying pharmacy at the Guru Nanak Institution in India. The South Sudanese government has cut off all student funding, so our new friend is desperately seeking ongoing tuition funds to stay in school. Without help, she will be a refugee living in extreme poverty.
We were a small part of a large team who helped an Iraqi family escape the horrors of ISIS; they are now settled near Chicago. We are looking for scholarships for the daughters to attend a university. Another highly educated young Iranian (of the "wrong" religion) is working in Turkey, but is not safe. We are working with government officials and his relatives in the U.S.A. to assist in his peaceful immigration.
Sandrine is a beautiful young wife and mother with great energy and motivation to study pharmacy. We are assisting her with the process to enroll in her local pharmacy college, and will assist with some of her direct expenses.
We don't sent money directly to the applicants, and we make sure the funds go directly to the institution or school to cover the students' expenses.
"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart."
